1.) Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 is the epitome of God’s “tough love” approach He sometimes has for His children.
His reminder that He had previously commanded us to have faith in Him serves as a wake-up call that we need to let Him intervene. With this in mind, we will be able to try and try at something and eventually accomplish it through Him.
2.) Isaiah 40:31
“But they that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they will run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.”
Studies have shown that faith leads to better health. But, you have to be faithful to God for your faith to do this. Even during times where we feel the most lost, God can give us the amazing strength to persevere.
3.) Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
It’s common that you’ll have questions when it comes to God’s grace. But, it’s important to remember that He is in charge.
Matthew 11:28 states that God is the answer when we need help. When you find yourself needing someone to turn to, it’s important to turn to Him because you will find peace.
4.) Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This verse reminds us that God is constantly thinking of us. It also states that God has a plan for our future, meaning we shouldn’t spend time worrying about it.
While it is always good to prepare for the future, brewing in your own uncertainty about what is to come can only cause anxiety. Therefore, we should remember that God is in control and to let Him take the reins.
5.) Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
This is one of the most encouraging Bible verses. The reminder that God is always with us and that He will not forsake us to be exactly what we need to hear during times of struggle.
